Attendees who took part in CHIK's Health-e-Nation conference in Canberra last week have put out a challenge saying "it will never be better than this".
The topic, the program and especially the speakers made this conference one not to be missed.
In her first appearance at an e-health industry forum, the Federal Minister for Health and Ageing, the Hon Nicola Roxon MP said health IT was now "at the front and centre" of the new blueprint for health reform.
Opening the conference she confirmed that "I, and the Government, are well aware of the potential benefits and importance of e-health and we've already taken action in this area - this work will not be halted."
International speaker highlights included:
+ Shane Solomon's coverage of e-health benefits as CEO of Hong Kong Hospital Authority;
+ Mike Sheridan's detailed ROI figures for Canada's EHR plus the impact that Canada Health Infoway is having on the Canadian Economy; and
+ Sangita Reddy's intriguing depiction of innovative private health provider approaches to e-health in India.
All presentations are now available for download at www.health-e-nation.com.au (including the Queensland Health ICT Industry briefing)
See

CHIK thanks all sponsors, exhibitors, co-sponsors and participants for making this year's conference such a success.
