CHIK Services (CHIK) Pty Ltd is a not-for-profit company established to provide global communication services bridging the health and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sectors. Our key drivers are:
- sustainable, affordable health care delivery;
- the application of appropriate technology; and
- regional development.
An Advisory Panel of experienced Health and ICT industry participants meets regularly to question and challenge the future directions and needs of the health ICT industry and identify key areas for broader industry consideration and consultation. These reviews guide CHIK's direction and service offerings. The Advisory Panel has no commercial or management role in CHIK Services and panel members attend in their own right (they do not represent their respective organisations).
In delivering services, CHIK regularly communicates with over 6,000 companies, institutions and individuals within Australia and overseas. Included within this group are representatives from Federal and State Government agencies, all State Government Departments of Health, public and private hospitals, leading industry suppliers and associations, many SMEs, plus academics and researchers.

Our Mission
To create global communications mechanisms of choice for the Health ICT industry by:
- publishing regular health ICT industry newsletters;
- networking existing stakeholders and new market entrants;
- conducting primary and applied research; and
- enhancing the industry's commercial and export potential.
Our Objectives
CHIK Services is established to:
- promote the education and training of the healthcare industry and the public about the use of information technology to achieve better health outcomes;
- promote and advance the study of and research into information and communication technologies in the health care industry and the dissemination of results of such research to the industry and the public;
- develop information resources for the healthcare and information technology industry and the public; and
- provide an independent channel of communication between:
- the various levels of Government; and
- Governments, Public and Private Health Services facilities, Health service professionals, educational and research institutions and relevant private enterprise.
